Magical words activity (KG)
Activity Report

An engaging and delightful activity was held at Sophia High School for the Kindergarten (K.G.) children, centered around the theme of “Magical Words” such as please, sorry, thank you, and excuse me. The objective of the activity was to instill good manners and polite communication habits among the young learners in a fun and interactive way.

The program commenced with a lively and cheerful song performance by the H.K.G. class. The children enthusiastically sang about the importance of using magical words in daily life, capturing everyone’s attention with their energy and innocence.

Following this, students from various K.G. sections participated in recitations, where they confidently spoke about the value of kindness and politeness. Their expressions and clarity reflected their understanding of the topic.

The event concluded with a charming and well-coordinated performance by the L.K.G. class. Their act beautifully showcased the practical use of magical words . 

Overall, the activity was a great success. It not only entertained but also educated the children about the importance of good manners, making it a memorable learning experience for all.
Eco friendly activity KG

An Eco-Friendly Activity was conducted for the Kindergarten children to create awareness about protecting our environment. The little ones participated enthusiastically and learned simple ways to care for nature.
The children were taught important messages such as avoiding the use of plastic, not wasting water, and always using the dustbin to keep their surroundings clean. They also took part in planting saplings and learned that trees give us oxygen and help keep our Earth healthy.
Through short demonstrations and discussions, the children were encouraged not to hurt plants or pluck flowers and to grow more trees. They were reminded that trees are our friends and that we must save trees to save the Earth.
The activity helped the children understand the importance of protecting nature and inspired them to practice eco-friendly habits in their daily lives. 🌱🌍✨
Holi celebration 2026

Report on Holi Celebration
In the Primary Section, Class IV–B conducted a special assembly to celebrate the vibrant festival of Holi. The students enthusiastically presented the significance of the festival, highlighting the message of unity, love, and the victory of good over evil. An informative explanation of Holika Dahan enriched everyone’s understanding, followed by a lively dance performance on the song “Holi Aayi Holi Aayi.” The celebration concluded with students playing Holi using eco-friendly dry colours and sharing sweets, spreading cheer and togetherness.
The Kindergarten section also celebrated Holi with great excitement. The tiny tots danced joyfully with their teachers and Sr. Mary, enjoying the festive spirit. They had a delightful time playing safely with dry, eco-friendly colours.
The Secondary section marked the occasion with a special assembly, where students reflected on the cultural and moral importance of Holi and shared meaningful thoughts on unity and harmony.
Holi was also celebrated enthusiastically in the Sophia Boarding, where the children gathered on the ground to play with colours, creating a lively and memorable atmosphere.
Overall, the celebration across all sections was filled with happiness, harmony, and vibrant festive spirit. 
KG Alphabet adventure 2026

Report on Alphabet Adventure in Kindergarten – 21.02.2026
An exciting Alphabet Adventure was organized in the Kindergarten section on 21st February 2026, marking a joyful milestone in the children’s learning journey.
The program began with the Lighting of the Lamp by Sister Superior Sr. Prema, Sr. Neelam, Sr. Mary, and the teachers, invoking God’s blessings. The new students then sought blessings from the Rev. Sisters, symbolizing a graceful beginning.
The tiny tots conducted a beautiful prayer service with actions to “God Still Loves the World” and “Be Careful Little Eyes.” They confidently recited the prayer “Heavenly Father, we praise and thank You,” followed by the Lord’s Prayer led by Sr. Prema.
The academic segment featured an enthusiastic Action Song – ABCD, with children holding alphabet cards. A melodious Swar Geet was presented by Dhawani, who confidently enacted the role of a teacher. Students also enjoyed a fun Number Game, strengthening their numerical skills. Guided by the Sisters, the children wrote alphabets, swar (vowels), and numbers in different colours, marking their joyful initiation into writing.
The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Sr. Mary, expressing gratitude to all.
The Alphabet Adventure beautifully blended prayer, creativity, and joyful learning, leaving the children motivated and happy.
KG Winter day & Fun activity
Winter  Day and Fun Activity Report

A day of Winter Activities and Fun Races was organised on 12th November 2025 for the Kindergarten students, providing them with an enjoyable blend of learning and play.

The programme began with a graceful Prayer Dance, “Teri Hai Zameen”, followed by a short prayer session and the recital of ‘Our Father’ led by Sister Mary. Students then presented a cheerful dance on “What’s the Weather…”. This was followed by an informative segment titled “About Winter”, in which children spoke briefly about winter clothing, winter foods, and important precautionary habits. A lively “Winter Freeze Dance” added sparkle and enthusiasm to the event.

Fun Races formed an exciting part of the day, featuring activities such as choosing pairs, bunny race, musical board, filling the basket, grabbing bottles, balancing the ball/glass, passing through the tunnel, and ringing the partner. The highlight was a joyful Treasure Hunt conducted by Sister Mary for all the students, filling the little ones with excitement and curiosity.

The day concluded with laughter, energetic participation, and happy smiles, making it a memorable and enriching experience for every child.
KG - making music with household items & Class 1 Outing

The Kindergarten and Class 1 students participated in a day full of creativity and exploration on 11th October 2025.
The Kindergarten students enthusiastically took part in an innovative activity titled “Making Music with Household Things.” Using everyday items like bowls, plates, glasses, and spoons, the little ones created rhythmic sounds under their teachers’ guidance, promoting creativity, coordination, and joy.
The Class 1 students went on an exciting and educational outing to Kamla Nehru Park. They enjoyed the greenery, swings, and slides while learning about different types of trees and flowers. Teachers also explained the importance of keeping parks clean and protecting nature.
It was a delightful and enriching experience for the young learners, combining fun, creativity, and learning beyond the classroom.
Independence Day celebration
Independence Day Celebration – Kindergarten

The kindergarten section of our school celebrated Independence Day with great patriotic fervour and joy. The tiny tots, dressed in vibrant regional attire, sang and danced to the iconic patriotic song “Mile Sur Mera Tumhara”, followed by the soulful rendition of the National Song Vande Mataram, and concluded with the National Anthem.

The children beautifully portrayed the National Flag through their creative performances, filling the atmosphere with pride and unity.

Adding to the excitement, an interactive  questionnaire session on the national theme engaged the little ones, encouraging them to share their knowledge about our country.

The celebration concluded with an inspiring address by our Rev. Incharge, Sister Mary, and our Guest of Honour, Sister Neelam, who shared valuable insights on the significance of Independence Day and the importance of cherishing our freedom.
Rakhi Celebration (KG)

Rakshabandhan Celebration – Kindergarten

The Kindergarten section of our school came alive with colours, smiles, and festive cheer as our little ones celebrated Rakshabandhan with great enthusiasm. Dressed in vibrant traditional attire, the tiny sisters lovingly tied colourful rakhis on their brothers’ wrists, symbolising love, care, and protection.

The day began with a simple and sweet explanation of the festival’s significance, helping the children understand the beautiful tradition they were part of. Laughter and joy filled the air as rakhis were exchanged, promises were made, and bonds were cherished.

The celebration ended with delicious sweets, happy giggles, and hearts full of love. By the grace of the Almighty, it was a day of purity, togetherness, and unforgettable memories for our youngest Sophians.

To encourage creativity and self-expression among young learners, a Drawing Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the kindergarten section. The event provided an opportunity for students to explore their imagination through colors and shapes.

Children were given crayons, pencils, and drawing sheets to express their ideas freely. Teachers guided and encouraged each child, appreciating their efforts and unique interpretations.

The classroom was filled with color, laughter, and excitement as students proudly displayed their artwork. It was heartwarming to witness their developing motor skills and growing confidence.

The Drawing Day was a wonderful success, nurturing the artistic talents of the children and creating a fun-filled, memorable experience for all.

Date: 8th July 2025

The Rainy Season Celebration, held on 8th July 2025, brought all the Kindergarten students together for a joyful and memorable experience.

The day featured a range of fun-filled activities - from making colourful umbrellas and sailing paper boats to playing engaging indoor games that sparked creativity and teamwork. Lively dance performances by the little ones added extra vibrancy and energy to the celebration, filling the day with smiles and laughter. Our Principal , Sr Abha appreciated and encouraged the students to enjoy every moment of life, be cheerful, understand and love each season, and value the wonderful gifts of God’s nature.

Overall, the celebration was a resounding success, leaving our tiny tots with cherished memories of a day full of fun, learning, and togetherness.
Green day -KG
June 5,2025 : Green day (KG)

To foster love for nature and eco-friendly habits, our kindergarten children were taken to the Rose Garden near Nakki Lake on 5th June 2025. They were accompanied by Sr. Incharge Sister Manisha, teachers, and co-workers. The visit sparked curiosity and wonder about the environment. The children enjoyed themselves on the swings and slides. The day was also observed as Green Day.
KG -Fun races
Activity: Fun Races
On 31st May 2025, the kindergarten section organized a delightful Fun Race for the little ones. Students from various classes participated with great enthusiasm and boundless energy.
The races featured exciting challenges such as Collect the Hurdle, Three-Legged Race, Obstacle Race, and Hurdle Race, making the event both entertaining and amusing. Giggles and cheers echoed across the ground as students gave their best efforts—stumbling, laughing, and always persevering.
It was truly a joyful event that reminded everyone that participation and enjoyment matter far more than winning.

Orange Day Celebration – Kindergarten
Kindergarten sparkled with joy on 9th May 2025 as students celebrated Orange Day with great enthusiasm. Dressed in vibrant shades of orange, the little ones lit up the campus with energy and warmth.

The corridors were beautifully decorated with orange flowers and fruits, creating a cheerful atmosphere. A special morning assembly and orange-themed lunch added to the excitement, making it a fun-filled, colorful day of learning and celebration.

Yellow Day Celebration – KG activity 

The Kindergarten section radiated joy and sunshine by celebrating Yellow Day on 11.04.2025. The colour yellow, symbolizing happiness and warmth, was beautifully reflected in the cheerful decorations and the bright attire of our little ones.Children came dressed in vibrant shades of yellow and brought yellow themed snacks, making the day extra colourful. The celebrations began with a special assembly where students sang the hymn "Like a Sunflower that follows every movement of the sun" with great enthusiasm.

Teachers highlighted the significance of the colour yellow through engaging songs and activities. The fun continued with a treat of mango-flavored drinks and mango bite toffees, bringing big smiles to every face.
Yellow Day was a delightful blend of learning and fun, leaving our kindergarteners with warm memories of a sunny, joy-filled day.
KG kids' fashion showcase
Our Kindergarten's Kids' Fashion Showcase on April 5, 2025, was a resounding success! 👗💃 We were blown away by the confidence, style, and creativity of our tiny trendsetters. Each little model brought their unique flair, making the event truly unforgettable. Kudos to our young fashionistas and their parents for making it happen!

"Akshar Aarambh" a sacred ceremony,that marks the beginning of our young learners journey into the world of letters and knowledge was held on 24 th of February 2025 in our  Kindergarten.It is the ceremonial beginning of the schooling of a child by writing the first alphabet "A, अ and 1" as per the tradition.Our Rev.Sister Principal Sr.Abha and our Sister Incharge Sr.Manisha blessed each and every new comer and entrusted them to the teachers so that they grow up to be wise, compassionate and knowledgeable individuals.
