Report on the Special Welcome Day – Academic Year 2026
Sophia School reopened for the Academic Year 2026 with joy and enthusiasm as students of the Kindergarten, Primary, and Secondary sections were warmly welcomed on campus.
The Kindergarten wing was beautifully decorated with colorful balloons, stars, and flowers, creating a cheerful atmosphere for the little ones. The children were greeted traditionally with a tilak, and Rev. Sister Marydhan delighted them with lollipops and smiley balls. Welcome songs, lively action songs in English and Hindi, and a fun train activity made their first day exciting and comfortable. A special selfie point allowed parents to capture precious memories.
The Primary section began the year with a vibrant welcome assembly centered on the Rainbow theme, symbolizing unity and hope. The program included the hymn “On Our School, Your Blessing, Lord,” scripture readings promoting harmony, seven symbolic rainbow petitions, and the Lord’s Prayer. The welcome song “Swagatam, Swagatam” added cheer, while motivating addresses encouraged students to strive for excellence. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
The Secondary section also conducted a meaningful welcome assembly along with a special prayer service, seeking God’s blessings for the year ahead, for the well-being and success of the students, and for the progress of the entire school. Prayers and readings were offered with sincerity, creating an atmosphere of reflection, gratitude, and renewed determination.
The day marked a graceful and promising beginning as the entire Sophia family stepped into the new academic year with hope, unity, and commitment to excellence. 🌈✨
